APPLICATION FOR OPEN CONTAINER AREA PERMIT

  4. Seeking authorization to temporarily permit the public consumption of alcoholic beverages within an area of the township by persons who are at least 21 years of age.

    By checking the "I agree" box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) you have read and agree with the Public Alcohol Consumption Requirements and you will not be signed in the sense of a traditional paper document, 2) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 3) you may still be required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.

  6. $1000 PERFORMANCE BOND REQUIRED TO GUARANTEE CLEAN UP AND DEBRIS REMOVAL.
    • The Township Administrator may refuse to issue a permit whenever the Administrator determines, on the basis of objective facts and after a review of the application and a report thereon by the Police Department and by other township agencies involved with proposed site, that the location and/or the time set forth in the application would violate any law or ordinance or would unreasonably interfere with the use and enjoyment of adjoining properties, unreasonably impede the free flow of vehicular or pedestrian traffic or otherwise endanger the public’s health, safety or welfare.
    • GOVERNING BODY APPROVAL OF THE PERMIT IS REQUIRED AFTER TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION
  7. Determine if any ABC permitting is required:

    Pursuant to §122-17 of the Township of Bloomfield Code, the Mayor and Council of the Township of Bloomfield may, by resolution duly adopted, permit the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages in a designated public place (“Open Container Area”) at a designated time or times in connection with a special event, series of events or observance which has been authorized by the Mayor and Council prior thereto, and which possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances and regulations.
