Mission & Purpose:

The Township's Finance Department, under the direction of the CFO, oversees the township’s financial operations.

The Finance Department establishes and maintains a general accounting system for the municipal government and each of its departments. In doing so, it is responsible for the disbursement of all monies and controls all expenditures to ensure that budget appropriations are not exceeded.

TOWNSHIP OF BLOOMFIELD, ESSEX COUNTY ANNUAL DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET HEARING The Acting Township Administrator of the Township of Bloomfield will hold the 2025 Annual Departmental Budget Meetings on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in the Township Municipal Building, One Municipal Plaza, Bloomfield, New Jersey between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. The public is invited to attend, but may not participate in the hearings. Any personnel matters will be discussed in Closed Session.
