Michael
was born and raised in Bloomfield and starting working for the Recreation
Department at the age of 13 as a summer camp counselor. After graduating
from Montclair State University with a BS in Business Administration & Management,
Michael was hired full time, as a Recreation Supervisor in 2002. In 2006
he became the Assistant Director and ultimately promoted to Director in
2011. He currently oversees all aspects of the Parks, Recreation,
Cultural Affairs and Transportation and manages a full time staff of 5 and over
a hundred part time seasonal employees, instructors, coaches and volunteers.

part of the job:
Michael
feels fortunate to be able to give back to the community that gave him so much
as a child. He feels proud to provide recreational opportunities to the
next generation of Bloomfield residents.
