BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- The Bloomfield Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department is kicking off the Summer of Fun with the Memorial Day parade this Monday, May 27. The parade will march south on Broad Street to the reviewing stand on the Town Green in front of the Civic Center.
“I would like to thank all of the parade participants, and especially the Bloomfield Joint Memorial Committee, which has been working diligently on creating a great event for people of all ages,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “The parade will step off at 9:30am on the corner of Broad Street and Warren Street. I look forward to marching, and invite all Bloomfield residents to join us.”

The parade will include: past and present veterans, community organizations, sports teams, classic cars, Military, Police, Fire, EMS and township vehicles as well as marching bands, and more.
“The Bloomfield Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs Department is proud to be part of this parade and show our respect to all of the service men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. We encourage all veterans to march in the parade and are willing to arrange transportation for any Veteran who is unable to march, said Director Michael Sceurman.
