Bloomfield Launches New Advisory Committees to Boost Community Engagement - Apply Now
February 5, 2025 - BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - Bloomfield Mayor Jenny Mundell and the Township Council are pleased to announce the establishment of four new advisory committees aimed at enhancing community engagement and celebrating the diversity of Bloomfield residents. These committees, which were officially established by resolution during the Township Council meeting on January 27th, are:
- Senior Citizen Advisory Committee
- Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Advisory Committee
- Fiesta Latina and Hispanic Heritage Month Advisory Committee
- Women’s History Month Advisory Committee
These committees will provide residents with opportunities to have a direct impact on key events, initiatives, and celebrations within the Township. Mayor Mundell and the Township Council are committed to creating more avenues for residents to engage with their local government and help shape the future of Bloomfield.

Applications to serve on these committees are now open and will be accepted through Friday, February 14, 2025. Interested residents can apply by submitting a letter of interest and a current resume with their application on the Township’s website at https://bit.ly/BloomfieldBoards or by mail to the Mayor’s Office at 1 Municipal Plaza, Bloomfield, NJ.
All applications will be reviewed in preparation for committee appointments during the regular Township Council meeting on February 24th.
