BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Township of Bloomfield Women’s History Month Committee is excited to announce a series of events to celebrate and honor Women’s History Month. Highlighted events will include the Women’s History Month Professional Networking Event on Thursday, March 23, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Bloomfield Steak & Seafood and the 4th Annual Menstrual Hygiene Product Drive, March 1 through 31 in partnership with local businesses throughout town.
“Women’s History Month gives us an opportunity to celebrate the vast contributions of women to our community and country as well as draw attention to issues that may not otherwise be in the general spotlight, such as the high cost of menstrual hygiene products," said Councilwoman Jenny Mundell. “Women’s History is all of our history. Special thanks to the Bloomfield Women’s History Month Committee and Township of Bloomfield for answering the call to put together this exciting array of events and programs.”
The networking event will feature a brief program, including Bloomfield Councilwomen and Maritza Walton (owner of Casa d’Flor and Ritz-Walton Weddings), who will provide valuable insights and knowledge on navigating and succeeding in today's professional world. Attendees will also have the chance to network with other professionals in attendance, expanding their professional network and building lasting relationships.
The event is open to all and is expected to attract a diverse group of attendees from various industries. The event will take place at Bloomfield Steak & Seafood (located at 409 Franklin Street) and feature cocktails and appetizers courtesy of Bloomfield Steak & Seafood, Love & Plates, and Love & Boards, as well as swag bags featuring goodies from local women-owned businesses. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP early as space is limited to 40 attendees, and registration is required by 3/16.
