BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Township of Bloomfield is holding a donation drive this Saturday, October 1, at Fire Headquarters to support residents of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic who have been impacted by the devastation caused by Hurricane Fiona.
“Thank you to all the residents who have already donated to support this important cause,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “Together we will be doing our small part to help those in need and while I have a heavy heart during this situation, I am also extremely proud of Bloomfield residents for their compassion and generosity.”
The donation drive will be held this Saturday, October 1, at Bloomfield Fire Headquarters, 375 Franklin Street, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Residents are encouraged to donate vital supplies and other basic household necessities such as medical supplies, toiletries, bedding, clothes and toys for young children, and non-perishable food items including water/filters.

Necessary items include:
- Water Filters/Cases of Water
- Batteries
- Lanterns or Flashlights
- Backpacks
- Personal Hygiene Products
- First Aid Kits
- Baby Formula
- Diapers for Babies and Adults
- Solar Charger
- Clothes
- Canned or Packaged Food
