BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- Street sign pick up has been postponed indefinitely as a result of the Covid-19/Coronavirus pandemic. Winning bidders should still submit payment for the signs to GovDeals.com and make sure that they have their buyer’s certificates for each sign.
“I know that many current and former residents were excited to receive their piece of Bloomfield history and I am sorry that we must delay this,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “In order to keep township employees and residents safe at this time, we have made the decision to postpone this until we have further information about the virus. I ask that the winning bidders be patient and we will update you as soon as we have new dates.”
New pick up slots will be announced at a later time. Residents will not need to call to set up a time to pick them up, as people will be able to come during any of the announced slots. The winners can make arrangements for others to pick up the signs on their behalf if they cannot make the new dates.
All out of state shipping orders have also been postponed. Out of state winners should still email a copy of their buyer’s certificate and their shipping information to daviles@bloomfieldtwpnj.com in the meantime.
