Public Health Education focuses on promoting healthy behaviors throughout the community, by planning, implementing and evaluating educational campaigns and programs to promote healthy habits and environments through research and administrative work.
The Health Education Division provides an array of programs, information, and activities designed to encourage and support a healthy lifestyle: a farm fresh produce market, yoga, and meditation classes, bike, and walking groups, lead poisoning education and resources, community programs addressing issues such as mental health, substance abuse (including smoking and alcohol) and bullying, and numerous others.
