Bloomfield Township is a growing, suburban community offering an ideal environment in which families, as well as businesses, can grow and prosper. One of New Jersey’s more diverse municipalities (covering only 5.3 square miles and inhabiting nearly 47,000 residents), Bloomfield Township boasts an excellent public school system and first-rate recreational facilities including newly renovated parks and athletic fields.

Bloomfield Township, with its beautiful tree lined neighbourhoods, is known for our “Bloomfield Green Historic District, Gateway to the Jersey's other nearby communities,” and is less than a half hour away from New York City.

Our website offers a brief insight into Bloomfield’s rich history, the many services provided by the Township, information relative to our various community and service organizations, as well as important facts regarding the many facets of our governing body.
