Bloomfield has received an award from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency to provide funding for the construction of a new senior building on the corner of Franklin Street and Municipal Plaza. It t is an age restricted affordable project consisting of 82 rental units 74 one bedrooms 8 two bedrooms and 1800 square feet of community space for various senior or Township activities. It is the culmination of several years for efforts by myself that included input from individuals from my department as well as the Human Services Division and I would like to thank them of their persistent efforts. I cannot tell you how pleased I am to be able to bring a project of this nature to Bloomfield. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Glenn Domenick
