“Community service is embedded in our town’s DNA,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “With our Service and Citizen of the Year awards, we have an opportunity to recognize exceptional individuals who make Bloomfield a better place. We are accepting nominations for both awards through this Tuesday, so I encourage anyone who has benefitted or seen others benefit from the great work of someone in our community to submit their name for consideration by this Tuesday.”

“Our Service Award is given to an individual or group that has made significant contributions to the community. There are plenty of great people in Bloomfield who embody community service, and demonstrate it through their actions and what they do with their time,” said Councilwoman Jenny Mundell. “The Citizen of the Year award recognizes a person who embodies honesty, integrity, thoughtfulness and hard work, who serves as a role model.
