Back 2 School Store Event Taking Applications 

The Division of Human Services is participating in the seventh Back 2 School Store event sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women on July 29th for children entering Grade K-5 in the Fall. Each child at the event is escorted by a volunteer to help him/her select tons of new clothing and a new backpack filled with a complete set of age appropriate school supplies and personal care items. To qualify, Bloomfield or Glen Ridge families must be income eligible for food stamps or a food pantry, or the school district’s free or reduced cost lunch programs. Parents must attend the event with their child. The deadline has been extended into June, but spots are limited, so apply ASAP through the Bloomfield Division of Human Services, 1 Municipal Plaza, Room 213, on a first come.
