Bloomfield Township Delays Estimated Tax Bills in Favor of Certified Tax Rate

Town Seal - High Resolution

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Bloomfield Township is announcing its decision to postpone the issuance of estimated tax bills, opting instead to wait for the certified tax rate. The Township anticipates receiving the certified rate later this week, ensuring accurate billing for its residents. As a result, tax bills will be mailed no later than July 24th, however if the grace period needs to be extended that date will be communicated on your tax bill as well as on the township website.

"We understand the importance of accurate tax assessments and want to ensure that our residents receive the most precise information possible," said Mayor Michael Venezia. "By waiting for the certified tax rate, we can guarantee that taxpayers are billed correctly, alleviating any potential confusion or discrepancies."

By utilizing the certified rate, taxpayers will receive accurate bills based on the most up-to-date information, allowing for more informed financial planning. For further updates or information regarding tax bill issuance and payments, residents are advised to visit Bloomfield Township's official website at: www.bloomfieldtwpnj.com/260/Tax-Water-Payments or contact the Township's Tax Department directly at: (973) 680-4049.
