Zoning Permits

Staff within the Department enforce and administer the local Zoning Ordinance. Issues pertaining to uses of a property, setbacks, lot coverage and other local ordinances are handled by the Zoning Officer and staff. 

Please see the Frequently Asked Questions list (PDF) related to common projects you may be contemplating. Whenever there is a question about whether you need a permit or not, it's always best to contact the Zoning Officer for advice. 

Planning Board & Zoning Board

The Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment handle all approvals of proposed development and redevelopment within the Township. The administrative duties of the Boards are carried out by Township staff whose responsibilities include the entire development process from the organization of a conceptual meeting, to assisting the applicant and their professionals with the development application, the public hearing process, and obtaining zoning and construction permits.
